August brings some BIG changes for Close To My Heart and me!  Beginning this month, Close To My Heart offers some exciting new home decor products and two of them are offered as Workshop on the Go kits!  Also, Close To My Heart brought back card-making Workshop on the Go kits!

Scroll Album

Starting this month, I will offer two crop nights each month for you to have plenty of time to create all of the fabulous products available.  As always, the crop night is free and friends are welcome!  During August, I will highlight the Scholastic and Scroll Album Workshop on the Go kits.  To order your kits, click here for Scholastic or here for the Scroll Album.  To RSVP for either date, click here. If you can't join us in person, these kits have all of the instructions you need to complete them on your own at home.

You may be wondering what my big news is.  We are moving!  Why do I share this with you?  Because our new house has a walk-out basement that will be my new craft room with lots of space for you to craft with us each month!  If I can get it set up super quick, we will meet there August 24th.  If that doesn't work, we will begin meeting there in September.  I can't wait!

I created this autumnal page using the Close to my Heart Dreamin' Workshop on the Go Kit.   Aren't those colors gorgeous?!  The papers are all sponge daubed with Goldrush ink and the sentiment is embossed with gold.  I also added a touch of bronze glitter gel to accent some of the flowers.

I have fallen in love with Close to my Heart's Workshop on the Go kits!  Each kit includes a Level 2 Paper Pack, My Acrylix® Workshop Stamp Set (C-size), embellishments and a workshop guide to make 2 full layouts, for a total of 4 pages.  There is also plenty of leftover paper to make a bonus project with only a couple of additional materials.  I then use the rest of my papers and embellishments to make cards.

Bliss Workshop on the Go

Life isn't always blissful, but on May 20th we will have a blissful evening.  We will be using the Bliss papers from Close to my Heart for our May Workshop on the Go.  With this kit, you will be able to create 6 beautiful cards AND a 2 page layout!  Add a little extra cardstock, and you can create 6 more cards AND another 2 page layout!  You can order the kit here.  For a complete materials list, click here for the scrapbooking workshop or here for the card-making workshop.  Remember, the WOTG kit includes the Bliss Workshop Guide, My Acrylix^® Stamp Set, Level 2 Paper Packet, and Irresistibles^™ Villa Chipboard Die-Cuts.  If you attend the workshop, all other required materials will be available for you to use (including delicious snacks to keep your energy up).

Give a Miracle

These are two of the cards I made from the Miracle Workshop on the Go Kit.

The pinwheels were fun and simple to make.  The Miracle WOTG Kit includes a full stamp set.  Two of the stamps are squares with marks for cutting to make the pinwheels.  Really, any square works, just cut from each corner towards the center, stopping 3/4 of the way from the corner to the center.

After making your cuts, fold each corner towards the center and glue it in place.  Place a button, brad, or other circle (I cut a circle from my kraft border) at the center and voila!  Pinwheels!

Sweetheart Workshop

For February, we will be celebrating L*O*V*E using the beautiful Sweetheart papers for our Workshop on the Go on February 25th.

To complete the workshop, you have three options (prices do not include shipping and handling).  You may order the products directly from me or at my website. 1.
