It is amazing how quickly my family's schedule fills up even though I try to keep it simple. My kids each do only one activity in addition to school but by the end of the school year we had something planned for every minute it seemed. Between the dance recital, Father's Day, parties, picnics, and everything else, we have barely had time to sleep.
Now that summer has arrived, I am thankful for those extra minutes to sleep in. I say minutes because I have only slept about thirty minutes later than I was when school was in, but oh, they feel so good! I think I am soothed by the simple idea that I could sleep later if I wanted to (not that my children would let me).
Now if that maid would just show up and clean my house. She is running out of time before the dinner we are hosting on Saturday. I think I might just have to give up and clean the house myself.
