One of my favorite Christmas verses is Isaiah 9:6:
For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The shepherds, the wise men, Joseph and Mary all looked upon a baby and knew this verse. It's almost overwhelming to imagine how they felt when they first laid eyes upon him.
I created this card with Isaiah 9:6 in mind. I stamped Mary and Joseph using the 2nd generation technique and covered Jesus with Liquid Glass to make him stand out a little from the card. I left it simple to keep the focus on Jesus. "Celebrate the Season" is underneath the scene and the verse is stamped inside the card.
