Happy Birthday Jesus Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Happy Birthday Jesus" blog hop hosted by Lynne Kirsch (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/) and Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com).

The holiday season is in full swing and with it rushing to get up the decorations and buy all those presents but in our rush we sometimes forget the whole reason we have this beautiful holiday - to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

A wonderful line up of people have come together and put their rushed holiday lives on hold to show the true meaning of Christmas. Please hop through and leave them each a comment since they have worked hard to help make this hop a success.

I don't want Christmas to end on December 25th, so I lean towards blues, greys and whites that will last through winter.  That way we can celebrate just a little longer.

I created this trio of cards using Close to my Heart retired papers (I ordered extra because I loved them so much!).  The highlight of each card is the snowflake cut out using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  It is then embossed and sponge daubed to give the texture.  Some are embellished with pearls for added pop.

12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop!  If you are here from Lisa's blog at http://honeybearzdesigns2011.blogspot.com/, then you are in the right place!  If not, head back to Lisa's blog so you don't miss a thing!

For today's project, I finished up my 2013 calendar.  For my December page, I used the Pear & Partridge papers from Close To My Heart.  Notice the cute little strip at the bottom?  That's the zip strip!  I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the ornaments, shapes and letters.

Your next stop is Robin's blog at http://create-a-latte.blogspot.com/.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Merry Christmas!

Here's a perfect deal for you if you're interested in making your own calendar!  Get the Capture the Date stamp set (pictured at the left) for only $5 with any $50 purchase at Close To My Heart.
