October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We are featuring the Home For the Holidays stamp set. If you are here from Paige's blog then you are in the right place. The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s blog.

This is a really fun Christmas stamp set, but I wanted to show the versatility of the stamp set. To make this card I used Skylark Picture My Life cards along with Juniper and Sweet Leaf inks, green and blue epoxy bubbles and wood grain Washi tape (see below for the complete supply list).

My favorite surprise of this card is the top border. It's made using the candy cane stamp!

Oh, and did I mention that this stamp set coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge? You can see which stamps coordinate by the red outline around the image.

Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the world! Your next stop is Dawn's blog.

Like always, this stamp set is only $5 with a qualifying order at www.aprilnourse.ctmh.com and it's only available through October 31st.

Supplies used:

Lagoon Ink

Sweet Leaf Ink

Liquid Glass

Picture My Life Skylark

Green & Blue Epoxy Bubbles

Green colored pencil

Masculine Valentine's Card

One of my favorite new paper kits from Close to my Heart is Ariana.  I love the flowers and combination of colors.  I also know that my dear husband is not fond of receiving flowery cards, even if it's for Valentine's Day.  I used this lovely paper kit, Chocolate woodgrain Washi tape, and Wild Thing stamp set to create a masculine Valentine's card.

Here is some other artwork using the Ariana paper:

And the Wild Thing Stamp of the Month:

Don't forget about this month's constant campaign - Buy two cardstock packs and get a free embossing folder!

So Blessed

Here are a couple of my creations using Blessed, Close to my Heart's Stamp of the Month for April.  These are beautiful stamps to overlap, such as with the butterfly in this card:
The outline is stamped in Chocolate and the interior is stamped in Sweet Leaf.  The papers used are from the Miracle collection.  The card below uses the same technique for the flower.

You can get the stamp set and papers here.

A Surprise in My Mailbox

My grandma made cards for everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events.  When she passed away, my grandpa asked me to make an assortment of cards for him to send to family and friends.  I made about thirty cards, including this one:
The papers are from Close to my Heart, as well as the stamp set.  I sanded the cardstock used for the tree trunk, making it look more rugged.  The trunk and leaves were cut using my Cricut.  The most time-consuming part of this card was gluing the leaves on to the tree.  I love the simplicity of this card and it ended up being one of my favorites of the cards I made for Grandpa.  I was pleasantly surprised to receive it in the mail when my husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary.

Sensational Season

I always look forward to spring (even when I didn't live in snow country).  I love wearing sundresses and sandals, seeing butterflies fill the sky, and everything about Easter.  The Sensational Season stamps from Close to my Heart take me back to reading stories about Peter Rabbit with my grandma and they are perfect for March's Stamp of the Month.  Whether you want to make a card to wish someone a happy Easter or add some bunnies to your scrapbook page, these critters are sweet. Get this set free or deeply discounted here and get ready for spring because it's coming!
